JAMMU, Dec 09: In the Transport Advisory meeting held under the chairmanship of A.G Kohli , Hon’ble Minister for Transport, Rahil Gupta Editor-in-Chief of Cross Town News , Member, STAC & Sports Council, J&K informed the Government & Divisional Commissioner, Jammu regarding violation under UTEIC, an order passed by J&K Government in August 2001. He informed the Hon’ble Minister & members that how the said order is being misutilized by the officers of JMC/JDA/TPO causing traffic hazards. Otherwise order of UTEIC be kept in abeyance if not to be implemented.
40 commercial plans have been sanctioned by JDA in last five years without UTEIC, NOC & 72 illegal constructions permitted only on Kaluchak to Birpur road. If the plans would have been properly sanctioned, crore of rupee as fees would have generated but who bothers for Government losses.
There may be countless plans sanctioned by JMC in violation of UTEIC order causing traffic hazards in the city, Gandhi Nagar, Green belt, Marble market, Channi Himmat & Greater Kailash to Vijaypur , lot of big commercial complexes/ Banquets construction are completed/going on without UTEIC, NOC & some even without sanctioned plans by JMC/JDA but innocents are being harassed on the contrary.
Shall Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Chairman, UTEIC look in to it & verify violations made in previous UTEIC approved plans to detect the scams committed by the concerned departments.
