DB directs admin to file fresh affidavit about remedial steps on unregistered centers



Srinagar, September 07: Division Bench comprising of Chief Justice Badar Durrez Ahmad and Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey granted four weeks time to state counsel B A Dar for filing an updated affidavit.


The court had also constituted three member committee headed by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir with Director School Education and Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, as its members & directed to immediately shutdown all the unregistered tuition and coaching centers in the Kashmir.


Court had directed the judges’ committee to inspect all the coaching /tuition centers and find out as to whether the undertakings given in the court are correct and whether the coaching centers have abided by the J&K Regulation of Private Tuition Centers Rules of 2010.
In order to secure the interests of children who are studying in the unregistered coaching and tuition centers, the court had directed the owners of the institutes not to operate their bank accounts which stand in their names.


A similar committee for Jammu comprising Divisional Commissioner, Direction School Education and IGP shall stand constituted as has been constituted in Kashmir Division and all the directions issued with regard to Kashmir Division have been extended to the said committee.
