J&K is passing through the worst ever period since independence: Bhalla

Jammu, September 07: Former Minister Raman Bhalla alleged that since BJP-PDP joined hands, the miseries of the people of state have increased manifolds adding that two and half years have passed but the problems faced by the border residents, farmers, refugees and Kashmiri Pandits, this government has done nothing to address these issues.

He said that secularism and unity in diversity is the basic strength of our nation and Congress would not allow this to be weakened. He said that Congress stands guarantee to maintain religious brotherhood in order to strengthen the unity and integrity of the country. He said that both PDP and BJP played regional and emotional cards to hoodwink the people for winning elections and later betrayed them for the sake of power. 

He said that J&K is passing through the worst ever period since independence. If there is anything described as bad governance, the people of J&K had experienced it ‘and enough of it’ in the last more than two years.

While attacking the government at the centre, Bhalla alleged that since the change of guard happened in New Delhi, the prices of essential commodities have increased manifold.
