KATHUA, Dec 07:District Development Commissioner Kathua, Ramesh Kumar reviewed progress made under National Population Register (NPR), ADHAAR and Digitalization of Cable TV here today.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Atul Gupta, SDM Basohli Gurmukh Singh, SDM Billawar R.S Charak, SDM Bani Ramesh Basotra, SDM Hiranagar Sohan Lal, Tehsildar HQ, Tehsildars of all Tehsils, Naib Tehsildars, Executive Officers of Municipality besides officials of Revenue department were also present in the meeting.
During the meeting DDC Kathua reviewed the progress of updation of National Population Register and ADHAAR in the district. He asked the Sub District Registrars of Citizens Registration (Tehsildars/ CEO/EO’s of MC) to initiate special drives in rural and far flung areas of the district to ensure 100 percent enrolments by 31st December 2015.The issues related to Stamp Duty, functioning of new administrative units, Digitalization of Cable Television in the district were also discussed comprehensively during the meeting.
DDC exhorted upon the Executive Officers/ Tehsildar to take the necessary steps for expediting the process of Digitalization of Cable Television Network in their respective areas so that the deadline fixed for the complete digitalization could be met.
DDC also reviewed the functioning of the Revenue department during which various issues including eviction cases, land acquisition cases, encroachments, relief cases, mutations and other related matters were discussed in detail during the meeting.
