JAMMU, Dec 3: Minister of State for Public Works (R&B) and Revenue, Sunil Kumar Sharma today paid a surprise visit to the SDM office and Tehsildar office North Jammu.The Minister acting on the complaints by general public self checked the records as well as the pending files in these offices.
Sunil Sharma directed the officials to be transparent while disposing off the cases of general public and the documents and certificates be issued within a time bond manner as per norms.He also interacted with the visitors about any kind of difficulty or case of corruption in the office premises.
The Minister directed the concerned SDM and officials to assure full cooperation to the general masses for the disposal of cases adding that if any case of corruption came into the notice he will be dealt with sternly. “Welfare of people is the prime motive of government and on the theme there will be no compromise”, the Minister said.
He directed that Patwaris must visit the areas of their jurisdiction to resolve the issues on spot.
