JAMMU,Dec 01: Cabinet Sub Committee (CSC) on cadre review of IAS and KAS services figured out few proposals series and in one of them  an eligibility has been set in the proposal that an IAS officers to be posted as the Deputy Commissioners should have minimum of 10 years experience.

Pertinently it is to mention here that the IAS officers were becoming  DCs within a time frame of four years which was quite a big period for those who were coming out successful  from the prestigious exam in India.

As per sources Few IAS officers in state are not happy with such a proposal. Sources told Cross Town News that they said till now all IAS officers who were placed DC’s  across different areas of J&K have done well in conducting their duties and more importantly in impartial manner.

An interesting question can be asked here if you come out successful from most difficult examination system in India, get  best training and still you need ten years to become DC of a small district then why not first time MLAs should have a training and pool period of atleast 1 year before becoming Minister on the offset where his/her role in far bigger and critical than that of a DC.
