Srinagar, August 13: National Conference said that there is a need to end the curfew like culture in Srinagar city.
The government often imposed restrictions on the movement of pedestrians and vehicular traffic in parts of the city, especially in downtown Srinagar. It had become a routine for the residents to not be allowed to move around on streets for days following a civilian killing or any incident that the government believed could ‘disturb law and order’ in the city.
