Sopore, August 11: Clashes erupted between youth and forces in Sopore town after weekly congregational prayers.
Hundereds of youth took to streets near Markazi Jamia Masjid Sopore and raised pro-freedom slogans as they protested against the killing of a teenager in pellet firing by government forces in Tral area.
The protesters pelted stones on the forces at Main Bazaar and Main Chowk, who were constrsained to fire teargas shells to control the situation.
Shopkeepers lowered their shutters and clashes spread in the area.
