JAMMU, Nov 26: Top performing IAS officers in recent times have become soft target as they only mean business , they do not please their bosses, they do their work and hardly waste time in buttering up the bosses.
Such officers are not large but still there are handful of them. In last month or so they all became soft targets for work they did keeping development in mind and did not bother to please the people around.
A senior IAS officer recently became target for generating high revenues in State. There were many who questioned his early involvements in a case but he has been given clearances by concerned departments. He went aggressive against Tax thieves and managed 51 % increment in revenues of Commercial Taxes in State. He is the strongest Administrator inn J&K with experience of DCship of record 7 times.
Another Senior IAS officer is holding small department as compared to his caliber. The man who generated high revenues during his postings in JDA, instrumental in Commercial planning of Jammu , held important postings in Health Department in Centre is facing the dilemma for his honesty and good work and is placed to take care of mere small department Tribal & Affairs.
A Senior firebrand IAS officer ,now being termed as Sultan of Finance department in J&K by Economics Pundits is also on hit list for his exemplary work in Finance department and even when pressure was put on him for his aggressive revenue generation oriented decisions by Coalition partner and Oppositions , he did not bother and kept on doing his work for betterment of people of Jammu & Kashmir.
The Top performing IAS officer not only in J&K but across India was denied the posting of DC of Winter Capital city of J&K only for his religion. The officer did tremendous job in his brief career and has bagged prestigious National Award for his Work as DC Reasi , DC Kathua and DC Udhampur.
Another IAS officer who is known for his work ethics also faced tough times and a person quite junior to him was given the charge of the post. He has now set the tune right in his new department after getting two consecutive postings in two cabinet meeting.
The list will not end here there are many other IAS officers who stand strong like rock solid and they too are facing questions by different segments for the good work in contrary to those who please their masters and are enjoying their job and time.
