Jammu, May 27:  Central Government has posted an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the AGMUT cadre Mukesh Singj to Manipur as the Director General of Police (DGP).

The decision means both the Chief Secretary and the DGP in Manipur will now be drawn from the AGMUT cadre.

Mukesh Singh, an IPS officer belonging to the 1996 batch of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) cadre, which has  been merged with the (AGMUT) cadre.
