Jammu, Nov 11:Central Bureau of Investigation today arrested a Head Constable of the Jammu and Kashmir Police red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
Sources said Head Constable Riyaz Ahmed, posted at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu, has been arrested on the complaint of a restaurant owner, who had been named as an accused in a case being handled by HC, with PSI Vijay Goswami as IO of that case.
After a written complaint was lodged with the CBI, a trap was laid and Head Constable Riyaz Ahmed was arrested red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe amount.
Following the incident, as per details emerging PSI Vijay Goswami was also detained by the sleuths of CBI for questioning in connection with the incident.
