JAMMU,Nov 05:The State unit of BJP has served a show cause notice to Prof. Hari Om, through which he has been called upon to submit his explanation within seven days for airing publically statements on his own without the consultation or consent of the concerned leaders of the party, which have resentment from public as well as the party activists and tended to present the party negatively for the past quite some time.

The copy of the notice containing full contents is enclosed.

SHOW CAUSE NOTICE

Whereas, it has come to the notice of the party that you have been airing publically statements on your own without the consultation or consent of the concerned leaders of the party, which have invited resentment from public as well as the party activists and tended to present the party negatively for the past quite some time.
Whereas, while indulging in such activities, you have been airing publically political demands which are first required to be discussed and decided in private within the BJP’s organizational echelons. This is the requirement envisaged in the Constitution of the party and at present adhering to this norm is paramount as BJP is governing the state in coalition with PDP and heading NDA at the Centre. Airing such political demands publically through media severely restricts the party’s scope of taking its agenda forward in the government. When and how, all the demands that the BJP has previously raised, are to be met and its proclaimed agenda is to be carried forward, has to be decided as per the requirements of law & order, political pragmatism, coalition dharma etc. You have thus grossly conducted yourself in a manner which is anti-party.
Whereas, ridiculing denigrating and dismissing the persona’s of National and state leaders, besides targeting the party in the coalition government through media, you have, by your conduct and public utterances, some of the instances mentioned here above, lowered not only the standing of the party publically but have also impacted the credibility and standing of the coalition government in the state, thereby being guilty of gross indiscipline.
Whereas, you have released to Media a letter addressed to Prime Minister of India, which is highly critical of the party’s actions in the state, including having formed the coalition government with PDP and have labeled the party’s overall conduct as pernicious and gross, thereby attempted to defame the party.
Now, therefore, you are hereby called upon to submit your explanation within seven days failing which you shall be expelled forthwith from the party for gross indiscipline and misconduct.
