Prime Minister’s visit-Darbar Move; Rajendra chairs high level meeting, reviews security arrangements

 

JAMMU, Nov 04: A high level meeting was held at Police Control Room here today to review the security arrangements ahead of Prime Minister’s visit to the state and opening of Darbar move offices in winter capital on 9th November 2015.The meeting was chaired by Director General of Police, K. Rajendra Kumar.

 

During the meeting, all security arrangements for Prime Minister’s visit including the routes and locations were discussed in threadbare. Deployment of man-power from different forces and intelligence agencies was also discussed in the meeting.Addressing the meeting K. Rajendra stressed for greater synergy among different agencies and forces, being deployed for the security of VVIP. He said that common strategy should be adopted to ensure smooth visit of Prime Minister.

 

While discussing traffic arrangements, the DGP asked for diversion of public transport to alternate routes so that common commuters do not suffer due to security reasons. He also asked to make the railway police more vigilant in order to foil any ill designs of anti-national elements.The DGP emphasized upon the officers involved in the security arrangements to keep an eye on the activities of suspicious elements who always try to find an opportunity to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in the state.

 

Security arrangements for opening of Darbar move offices in winter capital on 9th November were also reviewed in the meeting. The meeting was informed that all security arrangements have been put into place for smooth opening of offices in Jammu.

 

Officers present in the meeting, representing different agencies, briefed about the required security arrangements put in place in connection with VVIP visit. They gave a detailed chart of deployment of personnel for the visit and said that proper briefings have been made to the personnel put on security duties at different locations of venues.

 

The DGP asked to utilize the services for security gadgets including CCTV cameras en-route the visit and locations. He said that comprehensive communication network has been established to co-ordinate among the agencies involved in the security arrangements.

 

The meeting was attended by Mr.  Yoginder Koul, IGP IRP Jammu, Mr. Danesh Rana IGP Jammu Zone, Mr. Rakesh Kumar, IG BSF, Mr.Kuldeep Dhar, IGP CRPF, Mr. Baljeet Singh DD (IB) Jammu, Mr. Jagjit Kumar IGP Security, Mr. Alok Kumar DIG Armed, Mr. Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, DIG JSK Range, Mr. Ali Mohammad, DIG CID Jammu, Mr. Nisar Ahmad, DIG Doda- Kishtiwar Range, Mr. Uttam Chand SSP Jammu, Mr. Varinder Sharma, SSP CID SB Jammu, Mr. Joginder Singh, SSP Samba, Mr. Ashok Sharma, SSP PCR Jammu and all Districts Superintends of Jammu Division.
