Kashmir Valley spiritually, culturally, literally rich: Bukhari

 

          SRINAGAR, Nov 02:  Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary affairs Syed Basharat Bukhari said that the Kashmir Valley is rich in all the aspects of spiritually, culture and literature.The Minister said this while addressing Kul Hind Mushaira organized here at SKICC by J&K Tourism Department.

          

He said literature plays a pivotal role in harmonizing various sections of the society and the main objective of organizing the Mushaira was to spread message of love, mutual trust and hospitality for which Kashmir is famous world over. He said poets have an important role to play in the society as they raise the societal issues through their poetry. 

          

During the Mushaira, poets of international repute enthralled the audience by reciting their poems and couplets. They through their couplets reflected the socio-political scenario of the state and also praised the beauty of Kashmir valley. Audience appreciated the poets by applauding loudly making the session lively.Expressing satisfaction over the response of the people, the Minister said more such Mushaira will be organized in future.

          

Many famous poets including Munawar Rana, Farooq Nazki, Anwar Jalaalpuri, Manzar Bhopali, Dr Nusrat Mehdi, Sagar Tripathi, Popular Meeruthi, Nawaz Deobandi, Liyaqat Jaffari, Afraad Ahmad, Iqbal Aseer, Rafiq Raaz, Rukhsana Jabeen, Humdam Kashmiri, Shafaq Sopori, Mohammad Aijaz and Naseem Nighat left the audience spellbound.

         

 Prof Amitabh Matto, Advisor to Chief Minister said Kashmir Valley feels blessed by the arrival of poets of international repute in the valley. He lauded the government for organizing such events. Secretary Tourism, Farooq Ahmad Shah, in his opening remarks hoped that the Mushaira will add to the fame and name of Kashmir in every corner of the globe.
