Srinagar, May 17: Today Govt issued an order of appointment of Inquiry Officer vide Government Order No.613-GAD of 2017, Dated: 17-05-2017 regarding the yesterday's episode by which Chief Minister was to leave the function & where Azadi slogans were raised by women. The order reads as:-.
Sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Mr. Shailendra Kumar, IAS, Commissioner/ Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department as Inquiry Officer to inquire into the circumstances which led to commotion and unruly situation besides damage to the infrastructure during the function organized by the State Rural Livelihood Mission, J&K at SKICC on 16-5-2017.
The inquiry shall, inter alia, include fixing of responsibility on the officers/officials of various departments/organizations charged with the smooth conduct of the function, but having failed to discharge their dutiestassigned functions scrupulously.
The Inquiry Officer will complete the inquiry and submit his report along with recommendations within 15 days from the date of issue of the order.
