DDC chairs DHS meet Stresses on medicines from Jan Aushadhi Medical Stores in Reasi

REASI, APRIL 19 - District Development Commissioner, Reasi, Ravinder Kumar today chaired a meeting of District Health Society (DHS) to review implementation of NRHM and other schemes in the district.

The DDC impressed upon the medical officers to further strengthen the functioning of medical stores being operated under Jan Aushadhi Scheme at District Hospital Reasi. He instructed CMO and ACR Reasi to spread awareness among people through different ways on generic medicines so that maximum people can avail its benefits.

The DDC instructed the officers to closely monitor health indicators in their respective blocks to check impact of toilets and sanitation in controlling diarrhea and other epidemics in the district.

The DDC instructed the officers for full fledged functioning of blood bank, physiotherapy unit besides effective implementation of Indira Gandhi Matritve  Sahyog Yojana in the district. He asked them to work in tandem to implement all health and ICDS related schemes effectively.

The matter of VHSNC accounts freezed in block Pouni was also raised in the meeting for which the bankers instructed to sort out an amicable solution.        

Earlier, Chief Medical Officer Bhagat informed the meeting that 759444 OPDs, 32009 IPDs, 68 major surgeries, 16473 minor surgeries, 3698 institutional deliveries, 10312 ultrasounds, 14657 X-Rays, 458 Lapros, 82336 Immunization dosages, 5792 ECGs etc have been recorded in the district during previous fiscal.

It was further informed that under RBSK the medical teams covered 1457 schools and Anganwari centers to examine and screen 89063 children. Over 15442 children were identified with various ailments, of which, treatment was provided to 6478 children and 98 cases have been referred to reputed medical institutes.

On the issue of land compensation of District Hospital, ACR was directed to expedite the process so that allocated funds are provided to the land owners at an earliest.

The DDC further stressed on the medical officers to work with dedication and utmost zeal so that all the targets fixed in the current fiscal are achieved in time. 

Programme Officer ICDS Surinder Mohan, ACR Abdul Sattar, Chief Medical Officer Dr L D Bhagat, DSWO Kulraj Singh Thakur, XENs, BMOs and various other officers and health functionaries attended the meeting.
