DGP hands over raffle draw prizes to winners in J&K

 

SRINAGAR, Oct 16: Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar handed over raffle draw prizes to winners at a function held at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here today. The raffle draw was held at Bakshi Stadium on 20thlast month.

 

On the occasion Mr. Rajendra congratulated the winners and extended warm wishes. He handed over 46 raffle draw prizes to winners, including bumper prize (Honda AMAZE car) to Riyaz Ahmed Wani of Achu Guz Pulwama, 18 cars of different types, 4 motor cycles, 4 Scooties, 4 LEDs, 4 Laptops, 4 ACs, 3 TABs and 3 washing machines.

 

Mr. Rajendra appreciated the people on making the mega event a success and for their participation in large numbers. He said people have shown keen interest in the Mela and in purchasing goods from various stalls representing  different regions of the State. They thronged the venue and took part in different games and spent full day with Police Parivar along with their families. He said that we are returning a good amount of prizes to winners however, rest of the amount realised from the Mela is being spent on a good cause.

 

DGP also interacted with the winners, who had come from different parts of the State, they hailed holding such Melas and a transparent raffle draw and said that they hoped to participate in similar events in future also.They said that Police Public Melas have become more attractive for people and they wait for these Melas anxiously.

 

Among others, function was attended by ADGP (Headquarters), SP Vaid, IsGP, AK Choudhary, HK Lohia and SL Sharma, DIG, Viplav Kumar, AIsGP, Sheikh Junaid Mahmood, Rajeshwar Singh, Tahir Sajjad, Kulbir Singh and  Sheikh Zulfikar Azad, CAO (PHQ) Omar Khan, SsP, BA Shah, Gulzar Ahmed, Dy.SP, Madhu Bandral and other police officers.
