SHRINE BOARD FOR BAWE WALI MATA MANDIR; 72-hour dharna conclude but not agitation


 

Jammu, April 6: The 72-hour dharna of Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) in support of constitution of Shrine Board for Bawe Wali Mata mandir culminated today.

Despite rains and adverse weather, the volunteers hold dharna for 72-hours and raise their voice against monopoly of Pujaris of Bawae wali Mata. The dharan is part of sustain campaign for constitution of Shrine for Bawe wali Mata Temple, which BFDC started in 1997.

Speaking at dharna site, president Bahu Fort Development Committee Kr. Rajeev Charak, said only dharna was concluded today but agitation remain continue.

“The people sitting at helm of affairs must scene the reality and see this dharna as warning call,” he said.

“The movement was initiated by BFDC but it gets support from people across the state and several organizations joined this campaign not only for development of Bawe Wali Mata Shrine but for Jammu city , which is no verge of losing its identity due to direct train to Katra and construction of Cheneni-Nashri tunnel.

Bahu Fort is pictrious town situated in the city along River Tawi. It is just 2 kilometer far from Railway Station and Bus Stand. Landscape of the town is unmatched to any other city in country. The Bagh-E Bahu Garden and North India’s bigger underground fish aquarium makes it standout but unfortunately, the town not gets its due in development. If shrine board is constituted the area will be develop as prime touris attraction , with upcoming projects like 7D theater, Bahu-Mubarak Mandi Rope way project and laser show. He said in coming days the agitation change its roadmap and aware people by camping in various areas of state. He said with hashtag #shrineboard4bawetemple this campaign will went globally and people of Jammu living in other parts of country or abroad posted their views and comments in favour of shrine board.

He asked the government to constitution of a trust for all the Hindu Shrines on the same platform as like “Wakf Board” for the real development.

He said that it is very important for all the residents of Jammu to support for this noble cause because if the board is constituted many developmental works take place which will generate employment for the youth and also benefits other sectors of society like hotel business, tour & travel business, & other businessman’s.

Pritam Sharma president Kranti Dal, Bahadur Lal Dalotra President Saryara Sabha Bahu Fort, Inderjeet Kahajuria president Hotel and Lodges Association, Rajeev Mahajan president International Manch and Samaj Kalyan, Ajmer Singh Charak and Parshotam Singh Charak from Charak Biradari, Swaran Singh Chib, Capt Balwant Singh, Sham Lal, Chand Gupta Auto union Railway Station, Parshotam Dalotra, Rahul Sharma, Dr. Gansham Singh, Rinku Sharma, Yashpal Singh Charak, Mohinder Singh, Asha Devi, Kamla Devi, Surjeet Singh Charak, Anu Devi, Prithvi singh, Samriti, Prita Devi, Ramesh Singh Chib, Shavli, Sunita Sharma, Jasbir Singh charak, Parveen Singh Chib, Pritam Sharma, Karnail Chand, Mani, Sukhwinder Kumar, Vicky etc also spoke on the occasion.

Dogra Sabha Gorkha Narag, New Colony Association Bahu Fort, Auto Union Railway Station Jammu , Shri Ram Sena, Charak Biradari, others extended support to BFDC . 

Charak also thanked people of Jammu, various religious and social organizations and print, online and electronic media for supporting the cause and hope that people will support this movement in future also.

Hardesh Khokher vice president BFDC has done proceedings on the first day of dharna, Ishant Mahajan Vice President BFDC thanked all the social and political organizations, general public for their support to dharna.
