SRINAGAR: A 28-year old youth on Tuesday attacked a girl with acid in Langate area of Kupwara district of Jammu & Kashmir , after she rejected his marriage proposal.
Police said that that a youth identified as Ajaz Ahmad Dar threw acid on a 25-year old girl outside her house at Qaziabad in Langate after she rejected his proposed marriage.
Police said that the acid fell on some portion of girl's face and body and she was rushed to hospital for treatment and received minor injuries .
Police have registered a case under FIR number 14 under section 307 RPC.
