JAMMU,Oct 12: To launch mass movement against the recently adopted requirement policy of the BJP-PDP government and supporting unsettled issues of thousands of daily wagers, NYCs and other educated unemployed youth, PYC started the “YUVA AKROSH YATRA” from Lakhanpur and which will culminate in Leh on November, 03, 2015, after covering the 22 districts of the state. During the Yatra, PYC will organize foot marches at the district head quarters and town and will organize protest demonstration against the recently adopted requirement policy.
The Yatra was flagged off by Manhor Lal Sharma Ex Minister, Subash Gupta DCC President in Kathua in Lakhanpur in the presence of Dr.Uma Shanker Pandey National Secretary IYC & I/C J&K Youth Congress, Pranav Shagotra President J&K PYC, Satish Sharma ,Paramjit Singh, Rajvir Singh PYC Gen. Secretaries and Vinay Sharma LYC President. The Senior Congress Leaders also addressed the Yatra.
A large number of youth participated in the Yatra and marched from Lakhanpur to Kathua Town. After a strong protest demonstration in Kathua, the Yatra moved to district Samaba in the form of Cars and motor cycles rally.
The Yatra was received and addressed by S.Manjeet singh EX Minister in Vijaypur . The Yatra also received rousing welcome in Channi and Samba, where a large number of youth joined the yatra and marched to Vijapur. Tomorrow Yatra will proceed to Jammu.
A large number of PYC, LYC and AYC Youth Congress leaders participated in the Yatra. Prominent leaders who led the Yatra are, Balbir Singh Rajan Sharma PYC Secretary,Chetan Wanchoo,Sandeep Singh Spokespersons,Vinay Sharma Lok Sabha President,Rajiv gupta Pankaj Sharma Ricky Dalhotra, Ashwini Sharma , Paramjeet Singh LYC Gen.Sec.,AYC Presidents Romy Khajuria,Kewal Krishan, Anirudh Khajuria, Chander Sheikher,Vinod Kumar, AYC Secys Varun Sharma,Sandeep Sharma, Sanjeev Mathur, Vishu Andotra,Sidhant Singh and Dalvir Singh Sethi.
Addressing the gathering Dr.Uma Shanker Pandey National Secretary IYC & I/C J&K Youth Congress exhorted upon the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to join this mass movement at a large scale to get rid of the anti youth policies of the government. He assured the Youth that PYC will not allow the PDP-BJP to play with the careers of the Lacs of educated unemployed youth of the state.
Speaking on the Occasion, President PYC Pranav Shagotra said that since, the government did not responded to our repeated requests for an audience and appeals for scraping of the recently adopted requirement policy of the BJP-PDP government and settling of the issues of thousands of daily wagers, NYCs and other educated unemployed youth, “we are compelled to launch this mass movement for the cause and rights of youth of the state.
He further said that PYC has decided to fight for the cause of the youth of the state. “we will put up a brave fight, until this government is awakened from deep slumbers” and we will continue till the present government scraps the recently recruitment policy.
Speaking to the media persons, Pranav Shagotra, State PYC Chief revealed that this Yatra is against the growing unemployment, wrong recruitment policies of the government and apathy towards thousands of daily wagers of the state. He added that the BJP-PDP government has forgotten all the pre poll promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that more than seven lac educated youth are waiting for the Jobs and this government has failed to initiate any concrete step in this direction.
