JAMMU, Sep 27: Chief Minister is always concerned for implementation of RTI Act in Jammu & Kashmir but the PIO of Highest Administrative office’s of the district i.e. PIO’s of Deputy Commissioner Jammu/Samba fails to reply with in stipulated period of time.
It clearly speaks of supremacy of such officers over the RTI Act in the state is a matter of concern. Applicant submitted An application under RTI in form- 1 to PIO, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu/Samba with due postal order No. 21-F-751385 & CH.No.028102 with due receipts on dated 18.07.2016 & 08182348 dated 19.07.2016. .
It is pertinent to mention here that 30 days time prescribed for reply exhausts on 18.08.2016 & 19.08.2016 but the big bosses of both the offices till date did not bothered to provide the information requested by the applicants is a matter of concern to be looked into.
Thereafter applicants constrained to file appeals to the Ist Appealant Authority’s for non compliance by the PIO’s of both the Deputy Commissioners dated 08.09 2016 from Deputy Commissioner Jammu& dated 08.09.2016/08184244 from Deputy Commissioner office Samba.
