DC Reasi Inaugurates Tehsildar Office At Thakrakote

REASI, JANUARY 14: Deputy Commissioner Indu Kanwal Chib today formally inaugurated office of the Tehsildar, Thakrakote at Lower Panassa here today.

The inauguration was held in presence of Tehsildar Thakrakote, BDO Thakrakote, BDC Chairman, elected members of Panchayati Raj Institutions and a large number of people from all over the Tehsil.

After inauguration, the DC congratulated the people and said that administration has inched a step closer to the people for effective and immediate resolution of their official work and issues. She also directed relevant officers to shift their offices from district headquarters immediately and start working among the people.

DC also directed the Tehsildar to chalk out days and a time table for meeting with the people every week. She also directed him to call an immediate meeting with the local officers to better understand their issues.

The local people apprised the DC about their issues and demands including water supply, electricity and a Bank.

The DC patiently listened to the demands of locals and said that all their genuine demands will be resolved in phased manner.

 DC said that all proposed water supply schemes of the tehsil are going to be taken up soon under the ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission. She also inaugurated construction of road from Kunda to Baldhana.

 Chief Education Officer, Mushtaq Ahmad; BDO Thakrakote, Baldev Singh; Tehsildar Thakrakote, Mohammad Rafique, Block Development Chairman Thakrakote, Rajinder Singh and Sarpanchs-Panchs of Tehsil Thakrakote were present on the occasion.
