KUPWARA, JANUARY 14: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg today visited District Hospital Kupwara to take stock of the facilities being provided at the health institute.
The DDC inspected various wards, interacted with patients and the Hospital Administration.
Later, the DDC along with Assistant Commissioner Revenue and other concerned officer visited various areas of the district to take stock of post snowfall situation. He directed the concerned to gear up men and machinery to clear snow from all major and link roads especially in the far flung and hilly areas of the district.
He asked the field functionaries to play proactive role in resolving peoples’ problems and asked people to contact 24X7 Disaster Management Control Room on Phone Numbers 01955-253522 and 9419268121 in case of any emergency.
The Deputy Commissioner was informed that the snow cutter machines have been deployed at Kupwara, Handwara, Langate, Karalpora, Treghgam, Tratpora, Drugmulla and Lolab.
He was informed that Kupwara Handwara main road has been restored for traffic while snow clearance operation is in progress across the district.
The DDC directed the concerned for early restoration of power and water supply services in the district.
He was informed that adequate quantity of food grins and other essentials are available in border areas of Karnah, Keran, Machil and Jumagund.
