Lieutenant Governor G.C. Murmu Strongly Condemns Fire Incident At Shrine In Tral

 
JAMMU, NOVEMBER, 26: Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu has strongly condemned the incident at Kounsarbal (Krusbal) Mohalla, Old Tral Township in which miscreants set ablaze a shrine adjacent to a local Mosque in the intervening night of 25-26 November, 2019.
 
Vehemently condemning the cowardly act, Lieutenant Governor has conveyed that such acts as are designed to arouse passion among the people and hurt their sentiments will not be tolerated. He said that perpetrators of this heinous act will not be spared and shall be brought to Justice. Police has already launched a massive manhunt to nab the culprits.
 
Lieutenant Governor has appealed to the people to maintain peace and calm and not get swayed by any rumor mongering or by any inimical element.
 
LG has directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to strengthen the security of Shrines across J&K.
 
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor has directed Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to take immediate measures at Government expenses so as to restore the shrine to its original pristine position.
