DIG Jammu range reviews police preparedness at Samba

SAMBA, July 23:To review the police preparedness in border area, DIG Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range Ashkoor Ahmed Wani visited the district and held a high level meeting of the departement.

The DIG Jammu held a meeting with SSP Samba Joginder Singh, Addl. SP Faisel Qureshi and all the SDPOs/SHOs of District Samba.

During the meeting, necessary instructions were imparted to all the territorial officers to ensure that Border Police Posts and Police Nakas established in border area remain alert to thwart infiltration bids.

The DIG also reviewed the competence of the force in maintaining peace and handling law & order situations effectively.  He also stressed for maintaining better police-public relations at police station as wells as police post level.

Wani visited DPL Samba and was presented Guard of Honour.  He also held a Darbar of the officers & jawans of the Samba and imparted necessary instructions and briefing regarding effective policing. He directed to perform duties with utmost care and responsibility keeping.

 

In view the present security scenario. He also briefed them about various welfare measures taken by the J&K Police and advised SSP Samba to ensure that welfares measures of the police personnel are addressed on priority.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Later, DIG Jammu interacted with officers & jawans from Armed & other Component of District Samba.
