UDHAMPUR, 11 Oct: Raising the voice against the scarcity of water in Udhampur, former MLA & NPP President Balwant Singh Mankotia warned administration for early restoration of water supply in the city. NPP lodged huge protest against PHE Deptt at Slathia Chowk here today, Scores of Party Leaders & Activists including all the 16 contested candidates were gathered & block National Highway for almost for one hour.
Repeating the prime Municipal Election promise, Mankotia assured the General Public while addressing the media persons that NPP stuck with its election promise & will solve the water scarcity problem in the city soon after the formation of Panthers Municipal council in Udhampur , he added
Mankotia revealed that 28 crore 84 lacs water scheme was sanctioned during his MLA tenure & which resulted in the daily supply of water to each & every household.
Expressing deep anguish over the failure of local representatives, Former MLA & NPP President Balwant Singh Mankotia revealed that after the 2014 assembly polls ? 7.5 crores remained unutlised in the mention above water scheme but local representatives misused the remaining funds with local adminstration which resulted water scarcity in city today. Mankotia also demanded for high level probe in this scam.
Mankotia warned the administration for early restoration of water supply otherwise they will forced to agitate strongly in coming days.
Mankotia also informed that tomorrow NPP delegation will meet the administration over the high traffic jam problem at Jakhani chowk.
Large no of Party leaders in which Distt President Sanjit Sharma, Tarentar Singh, Shameem Akhtar, Savitri Devi, Subash Singh, Vikas Kumar, Vijay Sallan including all the 16 contested candidates in which Chanchal Devi from wardno-01, Sunil Proach-2,Samnik Bhasin-3, Ajay Singh-4, Sanjana Sharma-5, Balbir Singh-7, Aman Sharma-10, Arti Verma-11, Rajesh Verma-12, Navita Verma-14, Pawan Kumar Sawhney-15, Asha Devi-17, Richa Gupta-18, Romesh Atri-19, Jagdish Kumar-20, Darshan Kumar-21 were also present during the protest.
