No justification in continuing agitation in Jammu by AIIMS Coordination Committee: Jugal Kishore

JAMMU,Aug 02:BJP State President & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, while addressing media persons at party headquarters along with State Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi and State General Secretary Munish Sharma, said that the demand for AIIMS for Jammu has been fulfilled and hence there is no justification in continuing agitation spare-headed by ACC.

Jugal Kishore Sharma, while making an appeal to the people of Jammu to not get misled on the issue of AIIMS as the same has been sanctioned by the Union Health Minister on the intervention of State leaders. He said that confusion is being created by political parties like NC, Congress and Panthers over the settled issue and further clarified that the sanctioned AIIMS will have separate Director, equal number of faculties, equal and every kind of infrastructure and teaching staff and number of seats at par as that of AIIMS Kashmir.

Sunil Sethi said that the statement of Union Health Minister J.P.Nadda that his ministry will provide similar facilities of AIIMS in Jammu and Kashmir regions, is being misinterpreted and exploited by some political parties. The ACC and the people should know that such statement has been made by J.P. Nadda to clarify any future confusions that Kashmir region has got more than Jammu region due to the practice of discrimination with Jammu in the past during the rule of Congress and NC. He also appealed the ACC to now call off agitation in view of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra.
